ANITA "THUNDER" VARGO
SFC(R) Anita Y. Vargo joined the Army from 1983-1992 and the National Guard 1992-2005.
After serving our military for 22 years, this mother and grandmother decided at age 50 to really focus on her health and became a personal trainer, helping others to fulfill their dreams of living a healthier lifestyle.
Anita started competing in bodybuilding, winning numerous awards as a figure competitor.
After a few years, Anita decided to try her hand at powerlifting.
Anita has set numerous world records in powerlifting and feats of strength
with the Amateur Athletic Union Organization (AAU).
Anita has currently added strongwoman competition to her list of achievements.
